AGS is an international agro-trading company specialising in the purchase and export of agricultural crops and processed products.
The company hasbeen operating since 2016 and has been growing rapidly since then, becoming one of the significant market players. In 6 years we have come from scratch to a turnover of over 200,000 tonnes in 2023 and opened offices in UAE, Turkey, Tanzania.
This year we have already opened offices in India and China, doubled our trade turnover in the first 6 months compared to 2023 and are on track to target 800,000 tonnes in 2025.
We are now looking for an experienced pulses and oilseeds trader to share our ambitions and strengthen our team!
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Support the Finance Department in Tanzania and Mozambique with accurate and timely financial, accounting, and tax reporting in line with international standards.
Prepare financial statements and reports to ensure clarity and accuracy in financial data.
Assist with the annual audit of financial statements by providing essential documentation and insights.
Track ongoing business operations in related systems, ensuring proper recording of business revenue
Ensure compliance with Tanzanian financial regulations and handle all related documentation
Manage the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees.
Represent the company’s financial interests with Tanzanian authorities, such as the Tax Authority, Social Security Fund, and City Council
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related fields
At least 2 years of proven experience in an accounting or finance role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts
Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
Excellent skills in QuickBooks for managing financial data and reports.
Deep knowledge of Tanzanian taxation, including payroll tax calculation, payment, and reporting.
Extensive experience interacting with Tanzanian authorities, including the Tax Authority (TRA), NSSF, and City Council.
In-depth knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) for financial reporting.
Fluency in both English and Swahili, both written and verbal
