AGS is an international agro-trading company specialising in the purchase and export of agricultural crops and processed products.
The company hasbeen operating since 2016 and has been growing rapidly since then, becoming one of the significant market players. In 6 years we have come from scratch to a turnover of over 200,000 tonnes in 2023 and opened offices in UAE, Turkey, Tanzania.
This year we have already opened offices in India and China, doubled our trade turnover in the first 6 months compared to 2023 and are on track to target 800,000 tonnes in 2025.
We are now looking for an experienced pulses and oilseeds trader to share our ambitions and strengthen our team!
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Develop and implement trade strategy in the oilseeds and pulses category;
Analyse market data and trends to identify commercial opportunities, the most profitable trade positions and open new commodity flows;
Commercialise agricultural products in over 20 countries, taking into account market trends, supply and demand dynamics and pricing strategies;
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and buyers, support transactions and coordinate logistics in conjunction with the Foreign Trade Department;
Monitor macroeconomic and other indicators, including weather, government policy and global economic factors, to forecast price changes and mitigate supply risks;
Be responsible for margins and manage trade and currency risks
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
Experience in agro trading (pulses and oilseeds) for 3 years or more
Proven track record of successfully establishing and developing partnerships
Experience with Indian, East and West African markets
Strong understanding of market trends, regulations and logistics in the agricultural sector
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Strong analytical skills
Openness to change
